Scattered showers and storms through Friday evening

Tonight we will see mostly cloudy skies with a good chance for some scattered showers and thunderstorms that will will fire in over the high country and race eastward across the Eastern Plains. Temperatures will cool off quite significantly, generally down into the upper 40s for communities along the I-25 Corridor and in the upper 30s in the high country.

Saturday will bring much warmer temperatures along with dry conditions. Expect highs right around 80 degrees for communities in the Pikes Peak Region.

The dry and warm weather will continue for most of Sunday. We do have a slight chance of showers late in the day.

Better rain chances arrive on Monday and will stick around through the middle part of the week. Tuesday and Wednesday could be the wettest days of the week, with high temperatures only in the 60s.
