A wet and stormy weekend ahead with scattered showers and thunderstorms

Tonight we can expect mostly cloudy skies with a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. It will be breezy with winds out of the north at around 10 to 15 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the mid to upper 50s for most area along the I-25 Corridor, and 40s for parts of the high country.

Expect showers and thunderstorms throughout the weekend. We do have a good chance of seeing more monsoonal moisture both on Saturday and on Sunday. Some of the storms that do develop on the Eastern Plains may be severe, with small hail and heavy rain. Highs will climb into the lower 80s. We do have the potential for heavy rain, so we will be watching the threat for Flash Flooding.

Our daily chances for afternoon and evening storms will continue on Monday and Tuesday, with slightly drier conditions on Tuesday. High will be slightly warmer, in the mid to upper 80s.
