Severe storms with large hail possible once again today with smoky skies across southern Colorado

Tonight, we will see another chance of showers and thunderstorms across the Pikes Peak Region and the Eastern Plains. Some of the storms could be severe with large hail and strong, damaging winds. An isolated tornado isn't out of the question as the storm tracks eastward across the Eastern Plains. It will be a breezy evening with smoky skies from smoke making its way into the area from the Utah wildfires. Overnight lows will fall into the mid to upper 50s.

Thursday will bring us another chance for severe weather in the afternoon and evening hours. Some of the severe storms that form will once again have the potential for packing large hail and strong, damaging winds. There is also the risk of an isolated tornado. We will have breezy conditions with high temperatures right around 80 degrees for the area along the I-25 Corridor.

We have another chance for severe weather in the afternoon and evening. High will start to warm up, with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s.

Saturday and Sunday will bring us drier conditions with much warmer temperatures. We will see highs in the lower 90s, and we could be watching Fire Weather Conditions through the weekend.
