Hot Father’s Day weekend with Red Flag Conditions and severe storms on Eastern Plains

Tonight we will see mostly clear skies with just a slight chance of a shower of thunderstorm for areas along the I-25 Corridor. Some of the storms that do develop could be on the severe side as we head into the Eastern Plains. It will be on the breezy side. Overnight lows will fall into the mid to upper 50s.

Saturday will bring hot temperatures and Red Flag Conditions for most of Southern Colorado. We will be tracking the potential for severe weather on Saturday in parts of the Eastern Plains. The biggest risk with these storm will be large hail and the possibility for a brief tornado. We could also see record breaking temperatures as highs will climb into the mid to upper 90s in the Pikes Peak Region with even warmer conditions on the Eastern Plains.

Expect another round of hot temperatures on Father's day. We will see partly cloudy skies with highs near 90 degrees. Clouds will be on the increase late in the day and we could see some showers in the late afternoon and evening.

Monday and Tuesday will bring us much cooler weather and a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. We will see highs in the lower 80s.
