Warmer temperatures ahead with fire danger conditions through Father’s Day weekend

Tonight we can expect mostly clear skies and breezy conditions throughout the Pikes Peak Region. We will see winds out of the southeast at around 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Overnight lows will fall into the low 50s for most areas, and upper 40s for the High Country.

Friday will bring us warmer temperatures for most communities along the I-25 Corridor. We will see mostly sunny skies for Fan Fest in Downtown Colorado Springs, with highs in the upper 90s. Most of us will see dry conditions, but there is a slight chance of an afternoon shower or storm.

Temperatures continue to warm up on Saturday with highs in the low to mid 90s for the Pikes Peak Region, and upper 90s out on the Eastern Plains. We will see breezy conditions with Fire Weather Conditions for a good portion of Southern Colorado.

Sunday will bring us partly cloudy skies and highs near 90 degrees on Father's Day. We will see increasing clouds throughout the day with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm late in the day.

Rain chances will move in on Monday and Tuesday, along with cooler temperatures. We do have a good chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the low to mid 80s.
