South Academy re-opened after car hits pedestrian

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The intersection at Academy and Fountain was closed for several hours while police investigated. At this time, police do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a factor in the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
