Missing Colorado Springs 11-year-old safely located

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Tuesday afternoon, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced a missing child had been safely located.

Monday, the CBI issued a Missing Indigenous Person Alert for 11-year-old Nalias Welch Tafoya.

According to the CBI, Tafoya was last seen at 6:30 p.m. on March 20 in Colorado Springs. His tribal affiliation is Apache.

The CBI thanked the community for their assistance.
