COLORADO CHAMPIONS: 8-year-old Sam Baker is one day closer to reaching the El Capitan summit

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo (KRDO) -- It is day two for Sam and Joe Baker on their journey up El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. They Facetimed with KRDO Wednesday morning and say they are about a third up the towering wall.

Sam has been shattering records for years as he looks to become the youngest ever to conquer El Capitan. After years of training, now was they are on track to reach the summit Friday.
