Athletes to pedal 100 miles in mountain bike race Saturday

LEADVILLE, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pike-San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands is hosting its 100 Mountain Bike Race.
The race will be held this Saturday in the Leadville Ranger District.
The race will feature many athletes who will pedal 100 miles at high altitudes. Athletes will bike more than 2,200 feet during the climb, according to Leadville Race Series.
The organization wants to remind drivers there will be increased traffic near Twin Lakes, Turquoise Lake, Lodgepole Flats, and Columbine Mine.
