MONUMENT, Colo. (KRDO) -- A woman was arrested after she broke into a residence and abducted a child at gunpoint in Monument.

Tuesday, deputies from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office received a report about an armed abduction of a child at a residence in the 2000 block of Mount Herman Rd., just before 7 a.m.

Deputies have identified the suspect as 38-year-old Amber Green. According to the sheriff's office, she abducted her child, who she does not have custody of.

According to the EPCSO, Green forced her way into the residence, menaced the residents with a gun, and took the child.
