Fires shut down right lane of I-25 northbound near Fountain Sunday afternoon
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Two fires along I-25 near mile marker 135 closed the right lane of northbound traffic Sunday afternoon.
The Security Fire Department told KRDO they believe the fires were started by a car that was on fire. By the time first responders arrived, the vehicle was gone.
Fire officials say the two fires burned just over three acres on Sunday. Both were fully contained within two hours of the initial report at 1:30 P.M.
No injuries were reported.
