Driver crashes into home on N. Nevada, alcohol a suspected factor

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Sabyan Vargas has been arrested and cited for DUI and reckless driving, following a crash early Saturday morning around 2:00 a.m.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the driver was allegedly traveling northbound on Nevada Avenue and drove into a home causing extensive damage. The home is located at the corner of North Nevada Avenue and East Espanola Street, west of the Patty Jewett Golf Course.

CSPD says that one of the car's tires went through the front window of the home, with another going through a side fence and damaging the home's porch. A street sign, two light poles, and an unoccupied parked car were also hit.

The vehicle left a debris field that extended for the length of a block northbound and eastbound.

    1. Good question. That’s what happens when KRDO tries so hard to rewrite information copied from the police blotter and includes their disclaimers in the wrong places.
