Missing woman Gabby Petito was in Colorado Springs weeks before disappearance
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- It's been weeks since 22-year-old Gabby Petito was last seen following a road trip with her fiance, and video posted to social media shows that the pair were in Colorado Springs near the tail end of the trip.
Petito was reported missing by her family on Sept. 11, 10 days after her fiance, Brian Laundrie, returned to the couple's home in Florida.
New video was released Thursday showing Moab City Police interviewing Petito and her fiance, Brian Laundrie, following a report of a fight in the Utah town. That interaction happened on August 12, and the officers separated the couple for the night. No charges were filed.
According to Petito's Instagram page, the couple were in Colorado Springs and visited the Old Colorado City area before traveling to Utah.
As the search for Petito continues, her family has reached out to Laundrie's family asking for Laundrie to give more details about where Petito could be. Police tried contacting Laundrie on the night Petito was reported missing, but investigators were only given information and a statement from Laundrie's attorney, according to a police spokesperson.
