Fatal one-vehicle crash between Briargate Pkwy and Interquest Pkwy
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado State Patrol is investigating a deadly crash near southbound I-25 in northern Colorado Springs that happened just before 3 p.m.
Colorado State Patrol says a 2003 Honda went off the right side of the Interquest Pkwy on-ramp. After veering off the road, the vehicle went down an embankment and flipped several times. The driver was ejected.
This was a one-vehicle crash. No one else was inside the Honda.
CSP says Security Forces from the US Air Force Academy and Troopers arrived on the scene quickly and attempted life-saving measures. However, the driver, a 78-year-old man from Colorado Springs, died at the scene.
According to CDOT, the crash affected traffic between Exit 153 - Interquest Parkway and Exit 151 - Briargate Parkway.

Drivers were asked to use caution and watch for emergency crews. CSP said the accident did not cause any closures, but drivers should expect some delays.
Troopers say the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
