COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- On Saturday, May 1st, 2021 COSILoveYou is mobilizing 26 local churches to serve 30 local schools, completing simple helpful projects across our school districts. This is the 2nd year for COSILoveSchools Day and the scope of this event has grown from serving 16 schools in 2020 to serving 30 in 2021.

COSILoveSchools Day offers an opportunity for local volunteers to complete tangible acts of service that uplift a local school. Projects include: planting trees and flowers on a school campus, picking up trash, writing cards of encouragement to staff, providing breakfast for teachers, painting playgrounds, weeding flower beds, and much more!

The group hopes that volunteers connect to a local school campus in a way that empowers them to go back throughout the year. Organizers say, "We believe that schools are the epicenter of our neighborhoods and if schools are flourishing, our city will flourish. COSILoveSchools Day is just the beginning of these partnerships."

COSILoveYou orchestrates collaborative partnerships to meet practical needs throughout the Pikes Peak region. Working with churches, nonprofits, businesses, school districts, and civic partners, we have established supportive partnerships in education, homelessness, and food insecurity.
