COLORADO (KRDO) -- U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper and the Colorado Restaurant Association will host a webinar for restaurants, breweries and other businesses on applying for the new $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund, which provides flexibile grants to help businesses in the food and drink industry recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the new program, created by the American Rescue Plan, eligible businesses will be able to receive grants equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss of up to $10 million. Grants distributed under this fund are flexible and can be used for expenses in addition to payroll, such as mortgage, rent, supplies, and construction -- for example, if a restaurant incurred costs to expand outdoor seating.

Applications for the grant program will be available on the Small Business Administration’s website in the coming weeks. A fact sheet on the program is available HERE.

Hickenlooper and the Colorado Restaurant Association will also host a Webinar, Friday April 23rd at 9:30 a.m. on the topic to share more. Businesses interested in attending may register for the webinar HERE or on the Colorado Restaurant Association’s website.
