Colorado Honor Telethon: Donations needed to lay wreaths on veterans’ graves

wreaths-Cropped-860x484

There are thousands of veterans who have been laid to rest in national cemeteries across Colorado, and KRDO needs your help with our mission to lay a handmade wreath at each of their graves.

Our telethon starts officially Wednesday morning and runs until 6:30 p.m., but you can donate right now by clicking this link. You can also text Honor2020 to 41444 or call 719-881-8922. Each wreath costs $15.

Last year, you helped us raise $150,000 in a resounding success, and wreaths were placed at the Air Force Academy, Evergreen Cemetery, Fairview Cemetery, Memorial Gardens and Pikes Peak National Cemetery. This year, remembrance wreaths will be placed at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, along with the national cemeteries at Fort Logan and Fort Lyon.

Be sure to watch Good Morning Colorado at the start of Veterans Day, and join us for the 6 p.m. newscast to see how much the community raised for our veterans.
