Police investigating after woman found dead in southwest Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs police are looking into what happened that led to a woman's death this past weekend.

CSPD reported that officers were called to an apartment complex near 200 Beaver Court around 11:15 a.m. on Sunday for a death. Investigators went inside and found a deceased woman.

Few other details have been released, but police said that "due to the circumstances of the investigation, the violent crimes homicide/assault unit was contacted."

The woman hasn't been identified and it's not yet clear if there are any suspects connected with the death. Police said "all people involved have been contacted and interviewed and there is no known threat to the community."
