PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- All elementary schools in District 70 will be returning to in-person learning next week as the district moves to get back to normal instruction.

Middle school students and students at Rye High School will use the week to provide orientation training before returning to in-person learning on Oct. 5. Pueblo West High School and Pueblo County High School will remain in remote learning for one more week before beginning a Hybrid schedule in early October.

That plan will continue for the rest of the semester, but parents can choose to continue remote learning.

A number of Covid-19 precautions will be in place: physical distancing, temperature screenings, masks are mandatory for anyone entering buildings.

D70's COVID-19 response team will continue to monitor staff and students for signs of illness.
