Suspect arrested in killing of woman found along Highway 24 near Cascade

CASCADE, Colo. (KRDO) -- More than a month after 22-year-old Dedrea Duncan was found dead along Ute Pass, a suspect has been arrested.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says James Maurice Walker, 47, was charged with first-degree murder and was booked into the El Paso County Jail on Thursday.

We're working on getting more details about what led to Walker's arrest.

Duncan was found along the side of Highway 24 on July 31 after a passerby called 911.

The sheriff's office is still looking for anyone with information on the killing to call their tip line at 719-520-6666.
