Student-athletes organize protest to resume fall sports

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- In response to the decision to postpone most high school sports in the fall, student-athletes around Colorado are staging a protest Friday afternoon with a simple message: "Let us play."

The Colorado High School Activities Association announced this week that no adjustment would be made to the fall schedule to allow fall sports, including football.

However, CHSAA says it is meeting with Gov. Jared Polis to discuss possible variances that would allow some fall sports. Nothing new has been announced yet.

The LetCoPlay movement is calling on people to wear jerseys or school colors to show support at three different planned locations in Colorado Springs, Highlands Ranch, and Delta. You can find the exact locations here.
