Vanessa Guillén rally aims to “support victims of sexual abuse”

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Pikes Peak Women for Liberation, Autonomous Brown Berets of Colorado and Poetry 719 are hosting a rally Sunday in support of an independent investigation of the murder of Vanessa Guillén.

According to the Facebook event, organizers say they "aim to support those who have been victims/survivors of sexual abuse in and out of the military." They're asking for people to support the #iamvanessaguillen bill.

Supporters plan to wear red in support of missing and murdered indigenous women.

The rally starts at 1p.m. at Acacia Park in downtown Colorado Springs.
