COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries Sunday night after their motorcycle collided into a sedan near downtown Colorado Springs.

Police say the crash happened around 10:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Nevada and Platte avenues. According to a police report, two people were on the motorcycle going south on Nevada Ave. when it crashed into the car going east on Platte Ave. Police didn't say which vehicle had the right of way in the intersection.

The riders haven't been identified. Police say they were both wearing helmets, and impaired driving isn't suspected to be a factor.
