June ‘grand opening’ of Colorado Springs In-N-Out a hoax, company says

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Let's just get this out of the way: the Colorado Springs In-N-Out isn't opening by the end of June, despite a Facebook post for a grand opening that attracted thousands of would-be attendees in just a day.

The post is a prank, the company confirmed to KRDO Wednesday. But that didn't stop more than 2,000 people from RSVP'ing to the event.

In-N-Out is still planning on opening its Victory Ridge location by the end of this year, the company said.

"Unfortunately, the Facebook page stating that our Colorado Springs restaurant is opening in June seems to be a prank," said Carl Arena, a vice president with In-N-Out.

Sorry to say, it'll be a few more months before you can get your double-double.
