Pueblo Zoo sets reopening for next week
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Good news for animal enthusiasts in southern Colorado: the Pueblo Zoo announced it's reopening next week.
The zoo got approval from the city to reopen in Phase 1, and it'll be members only for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, the zoo will open to the general public with social distancing guidelines.
Admissions will be with walk-up sales only, and guests don't need to make a reservation; but capacity will be limited so there may be delays in getting in. Guests will also be required to wear a face covering and stay six feet away from other groups.
The zoo is also instituting specific hours for seniors and "at-risk" residents. Those hours will be every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. starting on June 17.
