CSPD: Remains found in apparent grave site at Palmer Park are animal
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A possible grave site discovered in Palmer Park Thursday evening prompted a large police response.
The Colorado Springs Police Department said in a social media post just before 8 p.m. that homicide detectives were on scene to investigate. Initially, police weren't sure if the remains were human or animal.
In an update around 9:20 p.m., police said the remains were those of a domesticated animal. It's not clear if someone was burying a pet or if the animal was disposed of for some other reason.
