StuckOnVets: Car sticker supports veterans suffering from PTSD
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Anna Soho's husband, Patrick Soho, medically retired from the U.S. Army in April. The veteran, who struggles with combat-related PTSD, was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. He endured a severe panic attack.
Luckily, the officer de-escalated the situation after seeing Soho's military identification card and laminated panic plan card.
After that, Anna wanted to assist her husband and others impacted by PTSD. To help first responders quickly identify PTSD sufferers, she created a small start-up business and sticker, StuckOnVets.
The business's Facebook page reads, "StuckOnVets truly hopes that this sticker will aid and assist all those impacted by PTSD while they drive on our roads today."
Since behavioral symptoms of PTSD can strike at any time, the PTSD Awareness Sticker not only assists sufferers in a time of need, it also helps emergency responders. Soho hopes to bring awareness to this issue, particularly since June is PTSD Awareness Month.
