COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A fast call to 911 and a speedy response made quick work of a mattress that caught on fire in a home Sunday.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department says no one was injured in the small fire that broke out in the 2500 block of King Street.

The fire was called in around 4 p.m. and put out a few minutes later. CSFD says crews pulled the mattress out of the home before any major damage was done.

It's unclear how the mattress caught fire at this time.
