Two deputies injured in crash on Highway 24 Saturday morning

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Highway 24 is back open after it was closed for about an hour Saturday morning following a crash that involved two Sheriff's Deputies.

A spokesperson from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KRDO that the crash involved two deputies in a single patrol car. Both deputies were taken to an area hospital, but their injuries aren't believed to be life threatening.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m., closing the road near Calhan between Hahn Road and Adams Street, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
