Victims identified after violent rampage through south Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- After a standoff involving Kyree Davon Howard-Walker, the suspect in Saturday's shooting rampage, ended Tuesday afternoon, we are reaching out to community members to learn more about the victims who were left in the wake.

Two people, 28-year-old Carl Thompson and 39-year-old Eugene Pischke, were killed during the Saturday crime spree, according to court documents. Pischke was found by police near 3700 Westmeadow Drive and later died at the hospital; Thompson was found dead near Fountain Springs Apartments.

Howard-Walker, who was wanted by police and considered armed and dangerous following the carjacking and shooting spree, is presumed dead after a standoff with police in south Colorado Springs Tuesday afternoon.

Police haven't confirmed Howard-Walker's death, but did confirm that a male was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The homeowner at the scene where the standoff occurred said that Howard-Walker and his girlfriend were the only people inside the home. His girlfriend was taken into custody on previous warrants.
