CDOT: Emergency repairs to prompt single lane closures along I-25 Gap

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Department of Transportation is warning commuters that an 18-mile stretch along the I-25 Gap will see lane closures beginning 2 p.m. Saturday and running through Sunday morning.

Single lane closures will take place on both the northbound and southbound lanes to repair potholes, says CDOT.

Now, transportation officials are suggesting motorists take alternate routes or give themselves plenty of extra time to make the journey, especially as many make their way to the Springs for the N.H.L. Avalanche game.

The estimated time for reopening two-lane traffic Sunday morning was not immediately available.
