Parts of Colorado dropped to -44º Fahrenheit overnight
PARK COUNTY, Colo. -- We all know it was chilly overnight, but did you know that some parts of the state reached coldest-in-the-contiguous-United-States-chilly?
The National Weather Service station in Boulder recorded a frigid -44º Fahrenheit at Antero Reservoir, which was the coldest temperature recorded that night in the lower 48 states.
The NWS posted the following weather radar showing the three coldest regions in Colorado overnight.

The coldest locations were
-44°F Antero Reservoir
-34°F 1W Waverly

Meanwhile, that national high temperature was a balmy 90º Fahrenheit in Brownsville, Texas and Harlingen, Texas, according to the NWS.
