Tracking a few PM showers & storms, hot weekend ahead

TODAY: Temps warm drastically, rebounding to the low 90s in Colorado Springs and mid-90s in Pueblo. Expect a few showers and thunderstorms to start in the mountains, pass I-25, and continue east across the Plains this afternoon and evening. Severe weather chances appear to be low.

WEEKEND: Showers and storms stay isolated Saturday and become more scattered Sunday. Expect mid-80s in Colorado Springs and low 90s in Pueblo Saturday, with temps warming back into the low to mid-90s Sunday.

EXTENDED: We drop to the 70s and 80s in lower-lying areas by Tuesday. Next week begins a cooler and wetter trend with monsoonal moisture veering back into Colorado.
