Military Times poll shows half of active-duty service members disapprove of Trump
A new poll from the Military Times shows that more active-duty service members have an unfavorable view of President Trump than a favorable view.
The poll surveyed 1,630 active-duty Military Times subscribers, according to the source piece, and found a number of data points.
Overall, 49.9% of respondents had a negative view of Trump, with 45.1% reporting "very unfavorable" and 4.8% reporting "unfavorable".
By comparison, 41.6% of respondents had positive view of Trump, with 24.3% reporting "very favorable" and 17.3% reporting "favorable".
Meanwhile, 8.5% of respondents said they had a "neutral" view of Trump.
The survey found that support from troops has declined since Trump was elected, but Trump still remains more favorable than Obama was at the end of his term.
The voluntary, confidential poll was conducted this fall in collaboration with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University, according to the Military Times.
