Colorado Springs gas prices fall slightly ahead of Christmas

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Springs gas prices have fallen 2.7 cents a gallon in the past week, averaging $2.71/gallon.

According to Gas Buddy, gas prices are 36 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

The cheapest station in Colorado Springs is priced at $2.39/gallon while the most expensive is $3.14/gallon.

The national average price of gas has also fallen, averaging $2.55/gallon.

A reason for the slight fall in prices is due to a jump in gasoline inventories, as well as the U.S. and China suggesting they've reached a trade deal.
