Police: Juvenile suspects allegedly carjack, beat up other juveniles in Old Colorado City area
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police arrested three juveniles early Saturday in connection to a carjacking and beating up two other juveniles.
Just before 5 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department received a phone call from a father who reported that his son and his son's friend had been beaten up and carjacked in the 1400 block of W. Colorado Ave.
Officers and medical personnel responded and spoke with the man's son and his son's friend, according to the police report.
Police confirmed that the two boys had been beaten up. They told police that their maroon Ford F150 had been stolen by three juveniles, one of whom possibly had a gun.
CSPD shared this information with other local police agencies. The Manitou Police Department was then able to locate the vehicle in the 400 block of El Paso Boulevard in Manitou Springs.
Officers responded to the area and made contact with three juveniles in a nearby apartment complex. Police arrested the three juveniles and returned the vehicle.
