Broncos down three quarterbacks before Saints game because of COVID concerns

KRDO

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) — The Denver Broncos are down three quarterbacks ahead of their game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Jeff Driskel, the third-string quarterback, tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. According to NFL.com, starting quarterback Drew Lock and backups Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles are all sidelined after having close contact with Driskel.

NFL.com said practice squad receiver Kendall Hinton will likely be the quarterback for Sunday’s game. Hinton signed with the Broncos after the 2020 draft as an undrafted free agent.
