Sickening sandwich? Coloradans split on Gov. Polis’ PB & Pueblo chile sandwich

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) — Tweets from politicians can easily be divisive, but a recent tweet from Governor Jared Polis seems to be unifying some people — in confusion.

After a visit to the Pueblo Chile Growers Association Tuesday, Governor Polis tweeted an eye-brow raising picture of his late night snack.

“My peanut butter, banana, honey, and Pueblo chile sandwich is complete!” he wrote. “2020 is about to get a whole lot better.”

The tweet has garnered close to 300 comments, more than 250 retweets and nearly 1,000 likes.

Some people just don't have the words to describe it.

Others worry he might've cracked under the stress of managing the state's response to the pandemic.

While some say they appreciate the love for Pueblo chiles, they're not sure this is the best way to hype them up.

Most Twitter users say they're fine with most of the ingredients, but the combination is controversial.

Nevertheless, the Governor may have won some adventurous eaters over.
