Man rescued after being trapped in a commercial trash compactor in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Tuesday, the Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to reports of a man trapped in a commercial trash compactor.

According to CSFD, this rescue utilized the department's Heavy Rescue team, a group that specializes in technical rescues.

The team managed to rescue the man in 30 minutes.

CSFD says the man is being treated for injuries from the incident.
