El Paso County Deputy Sheriff arrested on felony charge related to domestic violence

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- In a release Thursday evening, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said that one of their own, a Deputy Sheriff, had been arrested by the Colorado Springs Police Department.

That employee is 50-year-old Robert Easter. Easter was charged with second degree assault related to domestic violence, according to the release.

Easter has been employed with the sheriff's office since February 8, 2016. He will be placed on administrative leave in accordance with the department's policy.

No further details were immediately available.
