Local non-profit, Harley’s Hope, offering free pet food and gifts for holidays

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Harley's Hope is a local non-profit that offers a variety of services designed to help keep pets in their existing homes, as well as financial assistance with major veterinary care, and additional help for seniors and their companions.

The organization is hosting a free drive-thru pet pantry to help at-risk pet parents who need assistance feeding their pets. Food for dogs, cats, and small animals such as hamsters or guinea pigs, will be available free-of-charge.

The event is this Saturday, November 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while supplies last. It will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 4125 Constitution Avenue in the parking lot.

Since the food pantry's inception, Harley's Hope has handed out over 41,000 tons of free pet food for over 5,000 pets.
