PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. (KRDO) -- 21st Space Wing Commander Col. Thomas G. Falzarano has died, according to Peterson Air Force Base.

A news release from Peterson says that Falzarano was found unresponsive in his home on Tuesday, but it appears he died to natural causes.

Falzarano took command of the 21st Space Wing in July 2019.

“Col. Falzarano was a fearless leader who was motivated by taking care of his family and Airmen,” said Col. Sam Johnson, who is now commander of the 21st Space Wing. “He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and we are providing every comfort and assistance that we can to them.”
