Dozens compete in Colorado Springs hackathon on Valentine’s Day
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- It might not be everybody's idea of a romantic way to spend Valentine's Day, but dozens put their keyboards to the test in the Springs.
It was the National Cybersecurity Center's Capture the Flag Hackathon. Gamers weren't out on a field, but inside a conference room set up with computers.
Contestants could learn new skills on penetrating networks, with the goal being to access the scoring server. You didn't need any particular skills; all levels were welcomed. About half were high schoolers.
Prizes were awarded, including the coveted Golden Keyboard to the top team.
