1 arrested after hit-and-run crash at Oro Blanco and Carefree
Colorado Springs police were able to arrest one man he allegedly fled a traffic crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured early Thursday morning in the northeast side of town.
CSPD said officers were called to the crash at Oro Blanco and North Carefree Circle at about 2 a.m. According to a police report, the vehicle hit a pedestrian, and then the driver got out and ran away on foot.
Detectives responded and investigated, and at some point, the driver was arrested. It's not clear where he was found or if he turned himself in. Police identified the driver as Todd North, 52.
CSPD says the pedestrian is expected to recover from their injuries.
North was charged for leaving the scene of an accident. The crash is still under investigation.
