Suspect at large after allegedly ‘brandishing deadly weapon’ at place of work during HR termination process

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says it is looking for a suspect who allegedly brandished a deadly weapon at their place of work and then fled.

According to CSPD, officers responded to the Bonterra Lakeside Apartments around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, for a disturbance. CSPD says an investigation showed an employee of the complex had become upset during an "administrative human resources termination process."

CSPD says during the incident, the suspect brandished a deadly weapon towards other employees before leaving on foot before police arrived. The suspect, who also lived at the complex, might have returned to their residence, CSPD says.

According to officials, they attempted to contact the suspect but couldn't, so they obtained a search warrant and arrest warrant.

CSPD says the suspect has still not been located.
