Police find body near downtown Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police found a deceased male Sunday afternoon on the corner of Westview Place and Bijou Street.
Police tell us that they discovered the body after responding to a reported fight near Monument Valley Park.
While officers were on scene, they noticed that someone who appeared to be sleeping hadn't moved while they were responding the incident, according to CSPD.
Officers went over to check on the person and found that he was dead. Police tell us that the person appeared to be homeless, but they could not say if it was a natural death or crime-related at this time.
Police say that the reported fight and the body do not appear to be related.
