WASHINGTON (AP) — To pass their debt ceiling deal, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden will now have to sell it to their respective parties. They have to make sure that the deal is popular enough to pass both the House and Senate without a revolt on either side. The compromise was announced late Saturday, and Biden says he’s going to call the speaker Biden on Sunday afternoon “to make sure all the T’s are crossed and the I’s are dotted. I think we’re in good shape.” McCarthy is getting ready to release the text of the bill. He says the House will vote on Wednesday, which would then send the bill to the Senate.
