Girl who died at amusement park ID’d as probe continues

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The family of a 6-year-old girl who died at a Colorado amusement park is raising money to pay for her funeral as an investigation continues into what happened. The girl was identified as Wongel Estifanos on Wednesday by the coroner. On a GoFundMe page her family describes Wongel as “beautiful, caring and cheerful who loves Jesus so much” for a young girl. Few details have been released but the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park says the death happened after “an incident” on the Haunted Mine Drop ride. A spokeswoman for a state agency leading the investigation says it could take weeks to complete.
