Meet Saber Wolf, Abby Jean, and Brock! The HSPPR Pets of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - These are Saber Wolf, Abby Jean, and Brock, and they are your Pets of the Week from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region!

Saber Wolf is a three-year-old Anatolian Shepherd, and the proud dad of Abby Jean and Brock, two-year-old Anatolian Shepherds.

This little family has spent their lives working on a farm, and we’re looking for the next farm they can call their own! Abby Jean and Brock are bonded and will need to go to their new farm together, and if Saber Wolf can come along, too, even better!

Saber Wolf and Abby Jean’s primary roles were working the perimeter and fending off predators. Saber Wolf’s secondary role was “Mr. Mom” as he just loved being with all the puppies. Brock’s primary role was nurturing the flock and cuddling the baby sheep.

They have all lived with cows, sheep, and other dogs. There were also chickens and turkeys on the farm, but they were kept separately. They did not live with cats, though they did defend the farm from stray cats, so a home without cats is needed.

The adoption fee is $300 for all three, and they will go home with their vaccinations, a voucher for a vet exam, a microchip, and they will be spayed and neutered. You can see all the other dogs, cats, and small animals available for adoption at HSPPR.org or stop by the shelter at 610 Abbot Lane to visit the Anatolian Shepherd family today.
