Michelin Guide honors Colorado Springs restaurant in first statewide pick

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Four by Brother Luck, an independently owned restaurant in downtown Colorado Springs, has been included in Michelin's guide of recommended restaurants in Colorado.

The distinction comes as the restaurant marks 10 years of operation in the city.

The establishment was one of two restaurants in Colorado Springs selected for Michelin's recommendation list. The Penrose Room at The Broadmoor Resort was also included in the guide.

Brother Luck, owner of Four by Brother Luck, says it's significant for the area's culinary scene to get international recognition.

“I think what it does is it just recognizes that there's a lot of talent that's continuing to blossom in southern Colorado,” Luck said. “And for us to be included in this first year, I'm honored. I'm grateful. It means a lot to our team. It means a lot to our community and it means that we're pushing boundaries.”

Luck noted that earning the recommendation fulfilled a long-standing personal dream.

“I'm floored. Today was absolutely surreal. I mean, you know, I dreamed of this. And now we're sitting here looking at the result,” Luck said. “We're really catapulting ourself into the next tier of what cuisine means in southern Colorado.”

Ashley Brown, executive chef at Four by Brother Luck, says the announcement is part of a lifelong dream.

“It is so surreal. I'm still processing the feeling of it and all of it,” Brown said. “I wanted to be a chef at a very young age and I obsessed over it my whole life. And there's adrenaline going through my body that just wants to outburst and it just won't.”
